Google reviews privacy notice

This notice covers CameraBoss Website Reviews, operated by CameraBoss to display public reviews from its London Google Business Profile. It describes this reviews connection specifically.

Information the connection accesses

During owner authorisation, the setup reads accessible Business Profile account and location identifiers and metadata to identify the London listing. During normal updates it reads that listing’s identifying metadata, overall rating, review count and reviews.

The public website displays reviewer names, review excerpts, star ratings, review dates, the overall rating, review count and a checked date. Other fields returned by Google, including profile-photo URLs or business replies, are not included in the website’s public reviews response.

Google permission and its limits

Google provides this access through its business.manage permission. That permission can allow more than reading reviews. This integration uses it to identify the correct listing and read reviews; it does not edit business listings, reply to reviews or delete reviews. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive or Google Calendar.

How information is used and stored

The information is used to run the London reviews feature and check that the correct profile is displayed. It is not used by this integration for advertising profiles, selling data or training AI models.

The website is hosted on Vercel. Credentials used to refresh Google access are stored in private server-side configuration. The website’s public reviews response does not expose those credentials or the owner’s Business Profile account identifiers. Restricted local setup files are used to complete the owner’s connection.

Live review responses are cached temporarily in server memory and delivery caches to reduce repeated requests to Google. The live integration does not maintain a permanent reviews database. Separately, the website has dated, selected public review excerpts saved as a fallback; these do not update until replaced or refreshed.

Sharing and Google’s data rules

Selected public review information is displayed to website visitors. Google supplies the information and Vercel processes it to deliver the feature. Google account access credentials are not shared with visitors.

CameraBoss Website Reviews’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting or asking for a correction

The owner can revoke CameraBoss Website Reviews from the Google Account connections page. Revocation stops future authorised updates once existing access expires; previously cached responses and saved public excerpts may remain until they expire or are removed separately.
