Aworan = Image

"Aworan" is a curated collection that represents my artistic journey over the past seven years. This body of work, which encompasses both composed and real-life art, tells the story of my travels around the world, showcasing the diverse beauty found in humanity and the remarkable creations we have made as a species

PORTRAITURE OF PEOPLE

Human beauty, captured one frame at a time

I am a student of Media, as much as I am a student of life and photography. My works are a reflection of that, in the form of images.

Images that are as timeless as nature itself. Pictures and prints that transfer you into the tranquillity of nature when you look at them.

Stillness in the Storm

Finding Calm Amid Life’s Hustle

This work explores the quiet strength found within us during life’s most turbulent moments. It invites viewers to embrace stillness as a source of clarity and peace.

Ascension

This piece, titled "Ascension", explores the human struggle between despair and hope. The central figure reaching toward the light symbolises resilience, ambition, and the innate human desire to transcend adversity. The surrounding cloaked figures represent the weight of doubt, fear, and societal pressures that often attempt to pull us back into darkness.

The stark contrast between light and shadow reflects the battle between hope and despair, while the single beam of light signifies a breakthrough—a moment of clarity or divine intervention. Through this work, I aim to provoke introspection, asking the viewer: What are you reaching for, and what holds you back?

Between the Lines

This piece, titled "Between the Lines", reflects the human experience of curiosity, confinement, and the pursuit of clarity. The wooden slats represent the barriers we often face—whether physical, emotional, or societal—that obscure our view of the possibilities ahead. The subject's wide, searching eyes embody the innate human desire to see beyond the immediate, to understand, and to connect.

The outstretched hand symbolises the act of reaching—not just for freedom, but for answers, hope, and purpose. The black-and-white tones strip away distractions, focusing on the raw emotion of the moment. Through this work, I invite viewers to reflect on their own barriers and ask: What holds you back, and what lies just beyond the lines?

Eternal Bond

This piece, titled Eternal Bond, captures the tender simplicity of connection amidst the vastness of nature. The silhouetted figures of a parent and child walking hand in hand along the shoreline evoke themes of guidance, trust, and legacy.

The golden light reflecting on the wet sand contrasts with the ominous, stormy clouds above, symbolising the duality of life—the fleeting beauty of serene moments set against the uncertainties and challenges that surround us. The rolling waves serve as a reminder of the passage of time, their rhythmic movement echoing the cycles of growth, learning, and love.

Through Eternal Bond, I invite viewers to reflect on their relationships and the small, precious moments that anchor us in a world of constant change. What remains, despite the storms, is the enduring power of human connection.

Sanctuary of Nature

A Reflection of Global Fear During the Pandemic

From the Ebola outbreak to the COVID-19 pandemic, humanity faced unprecedented fears. This piece captures how nature itself became a sanctuary—a place of refuge and solace amidst the chaos.

WOMAN

This piece, titled WOMAN, reflects the essence of womanhood—its strength, grace, and enduring connection to cultural identity. The silhouetted figure represents universality, inviting viewers to see beyond the physical form and into the shared experiences of resilience and empowerment that define women across generations.

The golden accents adorning the figure symbolise inherent value and radiance, standing as a testament to the beauty and dignity that shine even in the face of obscurity. The headwrap evokes a sense of pride and tradition, grounding the work in a celebration of heritage and the stories passed through time.

The stark contrast of light and shadow highlights the interplay of presence and mystery, creating space for introspection. Through WOMA, I invite viewers to consider the quiet power of identity and ask: How do we honour our strength while embracing the shadows that shape us?

Fragments of Identity

This piece explores the delicate interplay between chaos and self-discovery. The burst of turquoise paint represents the raw, unfiltered expression of emotion, while the metallic foil cap symbolizes the protective barriers we construct to shield our minds. The figure's partially obscured face speaks to the fragmented nature of identity, caught between concealment and exposure. The contrast of motion and stillness invites the viewer to reflect on the tension between inner vulnerability and outward resilience, capturing a moment suspended in transformation.

The Quiet Resilience

Captured during an era of collective introspection, this piece reflects the quiet strength and grace that humanity exuded amidst uncertainty. The subject’s calm demeanor, framed by the stark contrast of light and shadow, symbolizes inner fortitude and elegance under pressure. Her gaze, turned slightly away, invites viewers to ponder untold stories and unspoken thoughts, representing the quiet resilience that defines moments of reflection and growth in challenging times.

Ethereal Reflection

A monochromatic portrayal of serene introspection, this artwork captures a moment of quiet self-awareness. The figure, bathed in luminous light, blurs the boundary between physical presence and spiritual essence. Delicate details highlight the subject’s poised hand and thoughtful expression, while the high-contrast composition evokes feelings of fragility and strength intertwined. The interplay of light and shadow invites viewers to explore themes of identity, inner beauty, and transcendence..

The Eye of Silent Witness

Amidst the cacophony of climate crises and environmental degradation, this piece reflects a quiet yet piercing observation of humanity’s actions. The single, unblinking eye emerges from nature’s embrace, representing Earth as a silent witness to our struggles, triumphs, and fears. As the leaves wrap protectively around the eye, it symbolizes the fragile balance between human survival and the sanctuary nature provides—a poignant reminder of our interconnected existence.

Liquid Serenity

This piece, titled "Liquid Serenity", delves into the intricate relationship between chaos and tranquility, transformation and the purity found in moments of stillness. The central figure, with closed eyes and a calm expression, embodies introspection and surrender, as streams of liquid cascade over them like a cleansing ritual. The suspended splashes above suggest a fleeting moment of disruption, frozen in time, yet harmoniously balanced within the composition.

The stark monochromatic palette underscores the duality of transformation—light and shadow, clarity and obscurity—while the fluid motion of the liquid reflects life's unpredictable currents. Through this work, I invite the viewer to consider the cycles of renewal and ask: What must we release to embrace serenity?

Calm

This piece, titled “Calm,” embodies the serenity found in surrender. The gentle cascade of water over the subject’s face and body symbolizes renewal, washing away the weight of the world and leaving behind a sense of peace. With closed eyes and an expression of quiet acceptance, the subject appears immersed in the present moment—unshaken, unbothered, simply being.

The interplay of light and mist creates an ethereal atmosphere, blurring the lines between reality and stillness. Each droplet captures a fleeting instant, a reminder that calm is not the absence of movement, but the ability to flow through it. Through this work, I invite viewers to reflect: When was the last time you truly let go?

In Thought

This piece, titled “In Thought,” captures the quiet intensity of introspection. The interplay of deep shadows and stark highlights reflects the contrast between clarity and uncertainty, illuminating the internal dialogue that shapes our perceptions and decisions. The subject’s partially obscured face symbolizes the complexities of self-awareness—what is seen, what is hidden, and what remains unresolved.

The expressive gesture, with fingers gently resting against the skin, evokes a moment of deep contemplation, where time slows, and the mind drifts between memories, dreams, and unspoken emotions. Through this work, I invite viewers to pause and ask themselves: In moments of solitude, what truths rise to the surface?

Two Dimensions

This piece, titled “Two Dimensions,” explores the duality of perception and reality. The building, reflected upside down, blurs the boundaries between what is solid and what is merely an illusion. This mirrored perspective challenges the viewer to question whether they are looking at the structure itself or its distorted counterpart—reminding us that truth often depends on the angle from which we see it.

The symmetry of the composition evokes a sense of balance, yet the inversion adds an element of uncertainty, symbolizing the fine line between order and chaos, certainty and doubt. Through this work, I invite viewers to consider: In a world of reflections and interpretations, which version of reality do you trust?

Reclaimed Elegance

This piece, titled "Reclaimed Elegance," redefines beauty and fashion through the lens of sustainability and creativity. The striking composition presents a woman adorned with an avant-garde headpiece and garment crafted entirely from transparent plastic cups—an unconventional yet thought-provoking material choice.

Her poised expression and confident stance contrast with the disposable nature of the material, symbolizing the transformation of waste into art, of the ordinary into the extraordinary. The piece challenges perceptions of value, urging the viewer to reconsider the impact of consumer culture and the potential of repurposing discarded objects.

With bold makeup and an air of regality, the subject embodies the fusion of resilience and innovation, asking a crucial question: What if the things we throw away could be reimagined into something magnificent?

The Contrast of Time

This piece, titled "The Contrast of Time," captures the striking juxtaposition between life and decay. The central focus of the image is a gnarled, weathered tree—its twisted, barren branches stretching toward the sky—contrasted against the lush greenery of the vibrant trees behind it. This visual interplay symbolizes the inevitable passage of time, where the remnants of the past stand alongside the flourishing present.

The rich, saturated colors heighten the contrast, with the deep blue sky serving as a vast, timeless backdrop. The image evokes a sense of resilience, transformation, and the cyclical nature of existence. Through this composition, the viewer is invited to reflect: does the past diminish in significance as the future thrives, or do both coexist as integral parts of the same story?

Eternal Glow

This piece, titled "Eternal Glow," captures the Eiffel Tower bathed in golden light against a sky of deep amber hues. The long-exposure effect creates streaks of motion in the city below, highlighting the dynamic rhythm of Paris, while the stillness of the tower stands as a timeless beacon of elegance.

Above, a flock of birds in flight adds a sense of freedom and transience, contrasting the permanence of the iron structure. This interplay between movement and stability, the fleeting and the enduring, invites the viewer to reflect on the balance between change and constancy in life.

In a city known for its romance and dreams, the question lingers: Are we drawn to the lights of the present, or the echoes of history that stand tall in the night?

The Weight of Watchful Eyes

This piece, titled "The Weight of Watchful Eyes," explores the overwhelming presence of digital surveillance, social pressure, and self-doubt in the modern age. The image presents a stark contrast: a solitary man in a brightly lit room, absorbed in his phone, seemingly unaware of the shadowy, masked figures lurking at the doorway—figures that symbolize the ever-watchful gaze of society, social media, or even his own intrusive thoughts.

The man’s red jacket acts as a beacon of vulnerability, highlighting his isolation amidst the unseen forces surrounding him. The black-clad figures, all peering in with silent intensity, represent the paranoia and anxiety of constant scrutiny, the fear of judgment, and the loss of true privacy in a hyperconnected world.

Through this visual narrative, the viewer is left with a compelling question: How much of our solitude is truly our own, and how much is shaped by the silent eyes that never look away?

Color Splash

This piece, titled “Color Splash,” embodies the fluidity of transformation and self-expression. The cascading streams of color represent the unpredictable yet beautiful process of change—where chaos and control merge into something entirely new. The subject’s serene expression amidst the splattered hues suggests a surrender to the moment, embracing both the mess and the masterpiece of personal evolution.

The contrast between the bold reds and soft whites mirrors the tension between passion and purity, struggle and surrender. Every drop of color tells a story of resilience, emotion, and the power of embracing imperfection. Through this work, I invite viewers to reflect on their own journeys—where does transformation begin, and how do we emerge on the other side?

Baptism of Silence

This portrait captures a moment of serene surrender — a woman standing beneath a cascade of water, eyes closed, bathed in deep blue and violet light. "Baptism of Silence" is a meditation on rebirth, emotional release, and the quiet strength that comes from stillness in chaos.

The water, in motion yet graceful, becomes a metaphor for release — washing away the noise of the outside world, expectations, and hidden burdens. Her closed eyes signal introspection, while her poised expression suggests acceptance, not resistance. Each droplet is a whisper from within, echoing the desire to reconnect with oneself amidst the turbulence.

Her skin glistens, not just with water, but with the glow of liberation — a quiet resilience, unshaken by the storm. Through this image, the viewer is invited to witness not just a visual spectacle, but a deeply personal ritual — the act of letting go, and emerging anew.
