Details for your Nigeria enquiry
For a wedding in Nigeria, set out each event you want photographed with its date and venue address. If a traditional celebration and a civil or religious ceremony take place on different days, describe them separately. Include the town or city, where each of you will get ready and any travel between venues. Tell me which customs and family moments you want to discuss so the enquiry reflects your celebration.
- List the dates and locations of the events you want covered, including any plans that are still provisional.
- For an in-person meeting, video call or phone call, suggest a time and state your time zone.
- My quotes are tailored to your needs. Ask for the event coverage, currency and travel arrangements to be confirmed.
- I ask for a 30% deposit to secure your day. This gets you officially on my calendar and you can cross “photographer” off your wedding checklist.

Planning a wedding enquiry for Nigeria
How should I describe celebrations on different dates?
Write a separate entry for each event with its date, venue and likely start and finish times. Say whether it is a traditional celebration, civil ceremony, religious ceremony or reception, where relevant to your plans. This makes it possible to discuss which parts need photography or film without treating everything as a single day.
What should we ask about travel between Britain and Nigeria?
Ask where the photographer would be travelling from for your dates and what arrival, onward travel and accommodation arrangements would need to be agreed. Share the event itinerary before booking travel around the photography. Availability and any travel costs need confirmation for your enquiry.
How do outfit changes affect the photo plan?
Mention the changes you expect during each event and when you would like portraits in each outfit. Include where you will change and whether the programme can allow a portrait break. If those timings are still being arranged with your families or planner, say so.
What information is needed when we have several venues?
Give the full venue addresses and the order in which you will visit them. Include access instructions and any timetable agreed with your planner. Ask how the proposed coverage would work across those locations and have the quote identify the events it covers.
Can we discuss a pre-wedding session around our visit?
Include the dates you expect to be in Nigeria and the area where you would like the session. Explain whether it needs to happen before a particular event or before you leave. Ask for a suitable date and its quote to be confirmed; do not assume a wedding booking automatically includes a separate session.
What if our Nigerian venue is not confirmed yet?
Send the town or city, the venues you are considering and the dates you expect to use them. Note who is coordinating the plans locally, if someone is doing so. Share the final addresses and access details once agreed so the photography discussion can follow the actual itinerary.
